Questions & Answers
How much does a website cost?
The cost of a website depends on many factors. These include the number of pages, the level of complexity, and the features you need. Do you want us to write the content? Will there be many images to edit or custom graphics to add? Should the site include advanced security features?
It’s a bit like asking, “How much is a car?” We all know the price can vary based on size, design, performance, and extras. Websites are the same—some are simple brochures, others are full e-commerce platforms or complex custom builds.
That’s why we price each website individually. Our team takes the time to understand your needs and goals first. Then we provide a fair, tailored quote that reflects the work involved.
No guesswork—just transparent pricing, expert advice, and a website that works for your business. Every project is unique, so we always tailor our quotes to your needs. However, here’s a general guide to help you plan your budget:
How Much Does a Landing Page Cost?
From £250
A great option for product launches, special campaigns, or event promotions. Clean, focused, and conversion-ready.
How Much Is a Small Website?
£600 – £1,500
Perfect for small businesses needing a professional online presence, including essential pages and a contact form.
What Does a Medium-Sized Website Cost?
£1,200 – £2,500
Ideal for growing businesses. Includes multiple pages, tailored design, added features, and more content.
How Much Is a Large Website?
From £2,500 – £5,000+
Custom-built for businesses requiring complex structures, dynamic content, integrations, or multi-language options.
What’s the Cost of an E-commerce Website?
From £1,500 – £6,000+
Final pricing depends on features such as product filters, payment gateways, shipping rules, discount systems, automation, and third-party integrations.
Whether you need a simple site or a powerful online shop, we’ll help you choose the right solution—without unnecessary extras.
You can find our current pricing for websites and online shops right here.
What is included in the price of a website?
Our website packages include complete graphic editing and preparation. We adjust your images to match the website’s overall look and ensure visual consistency. We also add your text content to each page.
For an additional fee, our copywriters can create professional SEO- and AEO-optimised content. This helps your site appear higher in search results on Google, Bing, and Yahoo—and potentially reach the top spot.
Each project is bespoke. Our designers tailor the layout to fit your brand identity and present your business in the best possible light.
We also focus on UX (User Experience) and UI (User Interface). That means your website is easy to use, intuitive to navigate, and pleasant to interact with—on every screen.
Fast loading speed is another priority. A quicker site keeps users engaged, improves your search ranking, and lowers bounce rates.
We design your website to work seamlessly on all devices: desktop, tablet, laptop, and smartphone. With over 70% of users browsing on mobile, mobile optimisation is essential to reach your audience.
If needed, we offer one-to-one training sessions on how to manage your website—available at an additional cost.
What are the key visual elements in web design?
Key visual elements in web design include colour schemes, typography, images, and the overall layout. These elements create the first impression and shape your brand identity. A professional visual design builds trust and boosts user engagement.
At Creative Apple Solutions Ltd, we help you choose the right colours, fonts, and imagery. If you don’t have a logo yet, we’ll design one for you. We also provide full branding solutions to ensure your website reflects your business perfectly.
What does UI mean in web design?
UI stands for User Interface. It refers to all the visual and interactive elements users engage with, such as buttons, menus, icons, and contact forms. A well-designed UI ensures your website is easy to navigate and feels intuitive.
Our team focus on clean, user-friendly interfaces that improve usability and keep visitors on your site longer.
What is UX in web design?
UX stands for User Experience. It refers to how smooth, fast, and enjoyable it is for users to navigate your website. A well-crafted UX makes visitors feel comfortable and in control, leading to higher satisfaction and longer engagement.
Our team from Stockport focuses on designing seamless digital journeys. We optimise every detail—from structure to speed—to help you retain users and turn visits into results.
Why is responsive design important?
Responsive design ensures your website looks and functions correctly on all screen sizes – mobiles, tablets, laptops, and desktops. This flexibility improves user experience, making navigation smooth and content easy to read, no matter the device.
It also enhances accessibility, helping more people interact with your site. Most importantly, Google prioritises mobile-friendly websites, so responsive design directly improves your SEO rankings.
Our developers focus on building fully responsive websites that load fast, adapt seamlessly, and meet the latest Google standards.
How is web design different from graphic design?
Web design and graphic design serve different purposes. Graphic design focuses on visuals for print and static media – like posters, flyers, and logos. It prioritises visual impact without considering user interaction.
In contrast, web design goes further. It involves layout for screens, interactive elements, responsiveness across devices, and fast loading times. It also includes technical aspects like browser compatibility and performance optimisation.
Our designers combine both disciplines to create websites that are not only beautiful but also functional, user-friendly, and ready for the digital world.
How long does it take to build a simple website?
Building a simple website or landing page usually takes anywhere from a few days to one week. The exact time depends on factors such as the chosen platform, the availability of content, and design complexity.
Using website builders or ready-made templates can speed up the process. However, for a more tailored design, our team may need extra time to ensure everything works smoothly and matches your brand perfectly.
Our developers always aim to deliver fast, high-quality results – without compromising on performance or user experience.
How long does a small business website take to build?
A typical small business website takes around 4 to 8 weeks from start to launch. This timeline includes the full process: planning, design, development, content integration, testing, and final adjustments.
Delays often come from waiting for content, feedback, or revision rounds. The more prepared you are with text and images, the smoother the process will be.
At Creative Apple Solutions from Stockport, we guide you at every step to keep your project on track and deliver a website that meets your business goals.
How long does it take to build an e-commerce website?
An e-commerce website typically takes 8 to 12 weeks or more to complete. The process includes designing product pages, integrating secure payment systems, setting up shipping options, and adding custom features like filters or discount codes.
The size of your product catalogue also affects the timeline. A larger store with hundreds of items will naturally take longer to set up and test.
Our developers create tailored online shops that are fast, secure, and ready to grow with your business—whether you’re starting small or scaling up.
What is included in web design?
Web design covers both the visual appearance and functionality of your website. It includes layout, colour schemes, typography, graphics, images, navigation, and overall user experience. A successful design strikes a balance between aesthetics and usability – ensuring your site looks great and works flawlessly.
As part of our web design service, we provide full graphic editing and image optimisation. Our designers adjust your photos and visuals to match the overall website style, creating a clean and cohesive look. Upon request, we also add watermarks, perform photomontages, and carry out advanced edits in Adobe Photoshop.
With our support, your website won’t just look professional – it will feel consistent, polished, and tailored to your brand.
Can I build a website without coding?
Yes, you can build a website without coding by using platforms like Wix, WordPress, or Shopify. These tools offer drag-and-drop functionality and are beginner-friendly, making them ideal for quick setups.
However, no-code platforms often have limitations in terms of design flexibility, SEO capabilities, and long-term scalability. What seems easy at first can become frustrating when trying to customise features or optimise for Google.
If you want your website to look professional, rank well, and truly reflect your brand, it’s best to work with experienced developers. With over 24 years of web design expertise, our team builds websites that are fast, functional, and tailored to your business goals.
A poorly built website can damage your credibility, scare off potential clients, and cost you valuable opportunities. Let us turn your website into a reliable, high-performing asset—so you can focus on growing your business.
What is a content management system (CMS)?
A content management system (CMS) is a platform that lets you create, manage, and update website content without needing to write code. It provides a user-friendly interface, so you can build pages, publish blog posts, and upload images with ease.
WordPress is the world’s most popular CMS. It powers millions of websites—from personal blogs to business pages and full-scale e-commerce stores.
A CMS gives individuals, teams, and companies full control over their content, allowing flexibility in design and scalability as their needs grow.
Our developers specialise in WordPress and WooCommerce. We build fast, secure, and SEO-optimised CMS websites that are easy for you to manage—no technical knowledge required.
Do I need a custom design or a template?
It depends on your goals and budget. Templates are quicker and more affordable, making them a good choice for simple websites or tight deadlines.
However, custom designs offer much more flexibility and uniqueness. They’re tailored to your brand, your audience, and your functionality needs—making your website stand out and work exactly the way you want.
We offer both options. If you choose a template, the price will be lower. But it’s important to understand the limitations. Templates are usually created by third-party companies, often offered for free or at a low cost. That means we’re building on someone else’s code.
As a result, templates may not be as fast, secure, or SEO-friendly as custom builds. They can contain errors—especially on mobile devices—and might become outdated if future updates or support are discontinued.
For long-term performance, branding, and flexibility, our designers recommend custom websites. But if your project is small and you need to save on cost, we can build a functional site using a high-quality template, while advising you on any risks.
What makes a website user-friendly?
A user-friendly website is easy to navigate, loads quickly, and works smoothly on all devices. Clear menus, readable fonts, and well-placed buttons guide users effortlessly through each page.
It helps visitors find what they need without frustration, which increases engagement and reduces bounce rates. Mobile optimisation is key – since most people browse on smartphones, your site must adapt to smaller screens.
Our designers focus on intuitive structure, fast performance, and clean layouts to create a smooth, enjoyable experience for every user.
Is mobile design really necessary today?
Absolutely. Mobile design is no longer optional – it’s essential. Over 80% of internet users browse websites on smartphones or tablets.
A mobile-friendly website improves accessibility, keeps visitors engaged, and ensures a smooth experience on smaller screens. It also reduces bounce rates and increases the chances of users taking action, such as contacting you or making a purchase.
Google ranks mobile-optimised websites higher in search results. So, responsive design isn’t just good for users—it directly boosts your SEO performance.
Our team ensures your website looks great and works perfectly on all devices, from desktops to smartphones.
How important is website speed?
Website speed is crucial. A fast-loading site keeps visitors engaged, while a slow one drives them away – often within seconds.
Speed also affects your position in Google search results. Search engines prioritise websites that load quickly and run smoothly.
To improve speed, our developers optimise images, clean up code, and use high-performance hosting. This not only boosts user satisfaction but also helps your site rank higher and convert better.
Can web designers help with SEO?
Yes, web designers often support basic SEO by adding meta tags, alt text for images, and building mobile-friendly layouts. These elements help search engines understand your content and improve visibility.
At Creative Apple Solutions from Stockport, we go further. We’re also SEO specialists. Most websites and online shops we create rank on the first page of Google – and many reach the top 1–2 positions in organic search results.
We also optimise for AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation). This means we structure content so it can appear as direct answers in voice search or featured snippets – like the answer boxes at the top of Google.
If you need help improving your SEO, auditing your website, or climbing the search rankings, get in touch with our team. We’ll help you turn traffic into real business results.
Do you offer web design in Stockport or Manchester?
Yes, we do! You’re welcome to visit us at our office in Stockport for a friendly chat over a good coffee or tea. We enjoy working with local businesses from Stockport, Manchester, and the surrounding areas.
But our work isn’t limited to one region. We design websites and online shops for clients across the UK, Europe, and even worldwide. Thanks to modern tools, we can meet online via video, chat, or email—whatever suits you best.
You don’t have to be nearby to stay connected. We’ll guide you through your project step by step, no matter where you’re based.
Why hire a professional web designer?
Hiring a professional web designer ensures your website is fast, mobile-friendly, secure, and optimised for search engines.
Designers create bespoke layouts tailored to your brand and user needs, improving user experience (UX) and conversion rates. In other words, you save time, avoid technical issues, and get a polished, future-ready site that grows with your business.
Moreover, professional designers follow SEO best practices, helping you rank higher on Google and attract more clients.
PageSpeed Insights

What is PageSpeed Insights and what is it used for?
PageSpeed Insights is a free tool created by Google that helps you check how quickly your website loads. It gives your site a performance score from 0 to 100. The higher the score, the faster and more user-friendly your website is.
To use it, you simply enter your website address. The tool analyses the page and provides a detailed report. It points out what’s working well and what needs improvement. For instance, it might suggest compressing large images, speeding up font loading, or removing unnecessary code that slows the site down.
Website speed is important because it affects how people experience your site. If a page loads slowly, visitors may get frustrated and leave. On the other hand, a fast website keeps users engaged, especially on mobile devices, and makes your business look more professional. Google also takes site speed into account when ranking websites in search results. So, a faster website can help improve your visibility online, attract more visitors, and increase conversions.
